Tektrim’s Commitment to Our Environment

Alan and Jeff the founders of Tektrim take sustainability of the built environment very seriously. It is fair to say that we would not even be in this business if we felt that we were damaging our environment. We are firmly committed to constant improvement of our products and processes to minimize our environmental “footprint”. Below are several links that may be of interest to design professionals who, like us, are concerned about how their designs and the selection of materials impact the environment. We feel that aluminum is a sound choice for building products due to it’s proven track record of being sought after for recycling. This is primarily due to aluminum’s high scrap price at recycling centers. This provides the incentive that leads to the very high percentage of aluminum that gets recycled. It appears that the percentage of aluminum that gets recycled each year will continue to increase into the foreseeable future.
